Do You Need A Silent Night?
My life has been nuts lately....what about yours?
Business as usual, shopping, wrapping, baking, blogging, year end planning, marketing, business planning for 2012, and on and on and on.
So maybe you need a Silent Night too.
Let the words and music of Amy Grant give you that....at least for a few minutes.

Shar - I LOVE Amy Grant's Christmas Album and have driven my family insane with it over the years playing it over and over and over. (Between that and my Snoopy Christmas music, of course.) Thanks for this track! (my husband thought he'd hidden my CD so he appeared quite shocked when he heard this playing- tee hee!)
My husband and I are going to take a much needed silent night when others are out celebrating. We have decided to stay home on New Year's Eve, relax and probably be asleep by 10. We will start off the new year refreshed and ready.
This is one of the first Christmases in my life that I haven't run myself ragged..........all of my nights have been silent!
Shar~I confer with Roger, this Christmas hasn't been that hectic for me. I appreciate the video, I've always enjoyed Amy Grant. I hope things settle down for you. Merry Christmas!
Have an AWESOME evening.
That's hysterical Susan....it must have thought he was hearing it in his head!
That's a great idea Marnie. I love being quiet on that night too.
That has got to feel kind of good Roger.
Good for you Michael! Come Thursday things will become more quiet I hope.
Christmas has gotten somewhat buried under all the crazy around here....doesn't feel like Christmas at all. I listed my house last week and have had 3 showings in the last few days. I've been house hunting and found myself in the midst of a dual (potential for triple) offer situation. (our offer was accepted, now we need an offer on ours) And...my daughter-in-law just went in the hospital to give birth so I have Jack staying here the next couple days. I bought a few gift certificates online and picked up a few gift certificates at local stores this afternoon. It's going to be a "gift certificate" Christmas this year. At least I have a tree!
Oh man! You have your hands full! I can see why it will be a gift card event. Take care of yourself and try to enjoy Christmas a bit. Congrats on another grandchild!! Woo Hoo! I pray you get an offer soon!
Shar so nicely said....today everyone was around and rowdier and noisier than usual. By now they are all off to bed and I just want to sit quietly before heading to bed myself.
Shar, thank you! Yes definitely needed to hear Amy:)
Don't know where all the time has gone, seems like yesterday we still had 25 days left til Christmas:)
Still have some things left on the shopping list and only 6 days left:)
I pray that you and Yours have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Hi Shar--that is just beautiful. Among all the chaos a wish for peace. Love her lyrics. It's been a little crazy here. I found my "silent night" this morning sitting on a kayak on the ocean.
Shar ~ I've been fighting a bug for a few days so have been completely removed from the hustle and bustle ... the tree isn't decorated yet, but that's OK. I'm enjoying the quiet days and nights and am gearing up to stage another vacant house this week! I can't believe it's Christmas week and I have 2 more jobs to do!
Ellen, glad you are getting some quiet time. Perfect.
Good luck to you Brenda! Hope you get a little silent mixed in there.
A kayak in the ocean Janet? Really?? okay....so jealous....
Maureen, glad you took some time to rest while you weren't feeling well. It will get done, it always does. Good for you for having a vacant this week! I have 2 consults and have to destage a vacant home that sold in the next three days before I leave town which is tough to fit into the hectic schedule. Ha.
Shar,
What a nice video! The photography and Amy's song is excellent Her message is clear!
Nobody forces you to shop until you drop, but people do it.
The only one who can stop it and have a Silent Night is you!
Great post!
Patricia
Love her music, thanks for sharing!!! Merry Christmas!
Shar, I am really looking forward to quiet starting late tomorrow thru Monday morning! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Shar, just stopping by to wish you a very Merry Christmas!
