Yesterday I posted about an email I had received regarding a Home Staging Consultation where the subject line was : "Your Expertise Helped Us Get an Offer In Five Days After Listing!" Well, I got up this morning and found this in my email:
"Hello Shar,
Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for helping us with staging our townhome a couple months back. After 6 weeks of de-cluttering, moving, cleaning, shopping, and rearranging, we put our home up for sale last Saturday. Our Open House was on Sunday, we had 8 showings by Thursday and 2 offers on Thursday night. We accepted an offer that ended up being above our asking price!
Your advice was so valuable to us. I just wanted to let you know that we couldn't have done it without your help! We close at the beginning of April, and we will definitely be calling for help with our new home :)"
Okay....I mentioned I don't normally hear how Home Staging Consultations end up as so much time may elapse between when I meet with a homeowner and when they may list and I don't hear back. But here I got two emails in a few days! And did you see that part that said..."above our asking price".
More proof that Home Staging can and does make a difference!!

This is why we do what we do! It's so nice to come full circle and hear the end results after a consult, you don't often get that opportunity. This, of course, is the best end result!

Not only did you GET it, these sellers obviously GOT it too! While a Staged home may not sell so quickly nor for over asking price, it definitely will sell more quickly than the competition! Congrats!
Shar: Two emails giving you such high praise. Good for you. A mentor of mine once said to keep all of these positive notes and letters. There are days when we only think poorly of ourselves and these things are proof of the good work and high praise others have given us. Congratulations.

Isn't it wonderful to get a thank you! They are glad they took your advice..look at their results!! I always let my stager know what a great job was done in preparing my seller. I usually send the individual website to him so he can see how it looks after all his advice :).

Perfect Dorie....it is so hard for us stagers to track as many homes don't go on the market for weeks or months.
This is a great post and it is so true. I find that it is pretty easy to know great success stories when we bring furnishings in because we obviously get called to pick the itmes up. I really appreciate it when I am told about a consultation that made such a difference. It was very thoughtful of your client to share with you their appreciation for your work.
